Agricultural lighting FAQ

What ingress protection rating do OLAMLED farm luminaires have?

They are rated IP68 and IP69K. That is why they can be installed in cattle sheds, pig houses, sheep sheds and poultry houses where high-pressure cleaning is routine.

Can the luminaires be cleaned with hot water?

Yes. They withstand hot water washdowns up to 80°C and high-pressure washdowns at 80–100 bar, so hygiene and disinfection routines do not damage the fitting.

What are the end caps and housing made of?

End caps are 304L or 316L stainless steel, and the housing is PC or PMMA. Stainless steel fasteners give long-term rust protection in ammonia-rich air.

Are the luminaires dimmable?

Both dimmable and non-dimmable drivers are available. The driver is specified per project, alongside mounting and connection method.

Can the luminaires be linked in continuous rows?

Yes. Connection modes are linkable and non-linkable, and both surface mounting and suspension are supported.

What warranty and certification do they carry?

The warranty time is 5 years, and the luminaires are certified to CE and RoHS. Rated lifetime is L90B10, over 50,000 hours.

Do you supply grow lights or incubation lamps?
